Sarwassco Multipurpose Cooperative was first registered with Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) on April 20, 1995 as a water service cooperative. The cooperative was born as a condition set forth by the Australian Government who co-funded the project and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines more specifically, the Local Government of San Remigio, Cebu.

From a mere water service cooperative, today, Sarwassco Multipurpose Cooperative is doing its best to serve the best needed and relevant products and services to the members.
